adidas Originals has dropped a few clever Simpsons shoes over the past couple years, each release celebrating one of the many recurring characters in the popular animated TV sitcom. Ned Flanders got his own McCarten, Duff Man got a Forum Low, even the family cat Snowball was transformed into a Superstar. It is now time for Springfield’s favorite cat and mouse duo to get in on the fun.
They fight, they bite, they fight and bite and fight. The upcoming “Itchy & Scratchy” Pack from adidas celebrates the violent duo from The Itchy & Scratchy Show, a segment from The Krusty the Clown Show that Bart and Lisa love to watch on TV. The shorter of the two, Itchy the mouse, gets his own Rivalry Low, while Scratchy the cat is celebrated on the Rivalry High. Each character’s face appears on the lateral heels.
But that’s not all. You can’t forget about Poochie, the show’s loveable yet short-lived dog character. He gets his own Pro Model dressed in black leather with a functional zipper down the side, the design inspired by Poochie’s black leather jacket. On this shoe, the lateral heel is debossed with silhouettes of all three characters chasing each other, with Scratchy holding a mallet and Poochie holding his surfboard. Each pair in the pack comes in special packaging made to look like the Simpsons family’s TV with the Itchy & Scratchy Show title sequence on screen.
