Moncler and adidas Originals have come together to create a collection made for exploration — from mountainous peaks to the city streets, and even the digital world.
First previewed in February during London Fashion Week, the collaborative collection merges Moncler’s mountaineering roots with adidas Originals’ metropolitan core to create an overarching “summit-to-city” theme. Puffers, track jackets, vests and more of Moncler’s signature outerwear silhouettes come dressed in luminous colors of lacquered nylon and are re-imagined with adidas Originals details, including adi-break paneling. On the footwear side, the adidas NMD S1 has been transformed into a winter boot, offered in mid-top and high-rise iterations, complete with GORE-TEX construction. The iconic Campus has also been wrapped in bubble padding for a puffer jacket-inspired look.
The collection is accompanied by a campaign titled “The Art of Explorers.” Inspired by the tagline “Where Originality Meets Extraordinary,” the imagery combines AI-generated figures with avatars designed by artists from diverse fields: sculpture, costume, set design, and make-up. Further pushing the boundaries of co-creation, adidas and Moncler are also releasing a limited-edition NFT, offering an artistic reimagination of their NMD boot collab as a collectible digital token.
The Moncler x adidas Originals collection will be available on Wednesday, October 4th on moncler.com and adidas.com. An in-store release will follow on October 5th at selected Moncler and adidas stores. Check out the lookbook and campaign imagery below.
