Following a collaboration with New Balance on the “Back to Black” 550, atmos has now unveiled its next project with fellow Japanese brand ASICS, the “Tokyo Nightlife” GEL-KAYANO 14.
The GEL-KAYANO 14 was one of ASICS’ most popular silhouettes of 2023, which was a good year for mesh-based running-inspired sneakers in general. Capitalizing on the trend, atmos gives the silhouette a metallic silver and burgundy makeover, a color scheme inspired by the city of Tokyo at night. The silver loose-mesh uppers are imbued with urban vibes, while the purple tint represents the glow that emits from neon lights. Lastly, black and dark grey accents complete the nocturnal aesthetic.
