New Balance Lunar New Year 2024 Collection

New Balance is kicking off 2024 with the launch of its Lunar New Year collection in celebration of the Year of the Dragon.

According to the brand, the New Balance Lunar New Year 2024 collection is “inspired by the power, confidence, and creativity of the most auspicious of zodiac signs.” This qualities are embodied across three technical running-inspired styles: the WRPD Runner, 1906, and 610.

These mesh-based silhouettes were selected as they represent the coming together of the modern and the traditional. Each come dressed in rich hues found inspired by traditional Chinese architecture, specifically the nine sons of the dragon that are frequently used as ornamental decorations. The 1906U (U for Utility) is offered in ornate pink and gold tonal colorways, while the 610s come in jade green and indigo navy. Lastly, the WRPD Runner comes in a sleek all-black colorway. Each style is equipped with special jade green insoles and come in custom jade green packaging.

The five footwear styles are accompanied by a full NBX Lunar New Year apparel offering that infuses timeless wardrobe staples with exaggerated shapes, sleek finishes, and reinterpreted traditional details. This includes reversible coach and nylon jackets, women’s cropped crewneck sweatshirts, and fleece hoodies and sweatpants.
