Sydney-based sneaker boutique Above The Clouds has announced its third collaboration with ASICS.
For this next project, Above The Clouds takes on the GT-2160. Designed to blur the lines between performance, art, fashion and design; Above The Clouds dresses the shoe in experimental materials. The composition of the shoe is a mix of old and new, drawing influence from Japanese craftsmanship, architecture, and product design.
A translucent NEXKIN textile is used on the toebox and midfoot, allowing the wearer to change the look of the shoe with their choice of sock color. The overlays are dressed in metallic silver, a classic option for ASICS mesh runners, while pops of forest green are found throughout.
The raffle for the Above The Clouds x ASICS GT-2160 is now live on the Above The Clouds website and closes on October 6th. A global release is set for Friday, October 13th on the ASICS website and at select retailers.
