Salehe Bembury x Crocs Juniper “Guava” Coming Soon

Original Story (01/15/24): Back in April of 2023, Crocs announced that it would be extending its partnership with Salehe Bembury. As part of the two-year agreement, Bembury would serve as Creative Director of the Crocs x Pollex Pod collection and work alongside the Crocs team to develop and introduce new silhouettes. Building off of the Pollex Clog introduced in 2021, Bembury and Crocs introduced the Pollex Slide in 2023, and the two are now gearing up to launch the next member of the Pollex family, the Crocs Juniper.

The Juniper silhouette is the first actual sneaker from Crocs and Bembury, complete with laces, tongues, and all the other “traditional” parts that make a sneaker a sneaker. However, the Juniper is still far from traditional when compared to other sneakers in the market. Upon first glance, your eyes are instantly drawn to its Pollex outsole, which features Bembury’s signature 3D fingerprint motif as traction. Uppers on this launch colorway come in peach and feature a squiggly pattern throughout, except for on the toe box and heel where there are perforated holes for breathability. For added comfort, the ankle collar, sockliner, and tongue are made from a knitted mesh, appearing in light brown on this launch colorway. Each pair of Junipers comes with a green hangtag that pays homage to Crocs’ signature green hangers.

Grab a look at the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Juniper below. The silhouette makes its debut this spring, releasing via beaspunge.com, the Crocs website, and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Update (02/27/24): Though yet to reveal a release date, Bembury continues to share teasers of his upcoming Juniper sneaker. What he has revealed is that this debut colorway is named “Guava,” and has also shared a look at a second colorway in blue. Stay tuned for more.
