Hardcore Band Turnstile Get Their Own Converse Collab

0

Did you know that Turnstile are lowkey sneakerheads? The band’s bassist Franz Lyons was actually the first person spotted wearing the CPFM x Nike Flea 2. The Baltimore-based hardcore punk band is now getting its own sneaker collab, teaming up with Converse on a limited edition Chuck 70 and One Star Pro.

The silhouettes channel Turnstile’s passion for skateboarding, raw energy, and distinct aesthetic, with both pairs featuring custom details inspired by their album and tour art. The Chuck 70, named after the song BLACKOUT, touts a monotone black upper with graphics that take cues from the band’s album Glow On. The canvas upper is paired with translucent details, a custom license plate, prints on the outsole and sock liner, and a reflective floating orb graphic.

The Turnstile One Star Pro is named “ONLY ONE STAR,” inspired by the lyrics “Can’t Be The Only One” on the song ALIEN LOVE CALL. This pairs features white leather construction and a multi-star logo on the quarter panel. Co-branded details are found on the tongue and license plate, while the foxing tape is embossed with the aforementioned lyrics, “Can’t Be The Only One.” The shoe epitomizes the crossover between hardcore punk and skateboarding, equipped with a CX foam liner for enhanced comfort, a CONS traction outsole, and elasticated tongue gussets that help create a lockdown fit.

The Turnstile x Converse collection will be available globally on January 25th at Converse.com and select retailers. Check out official images and the campaign photos/video below.
