Original Story (03/08/22): Nike is unleashing the vault when it comes to LeBron PEs. Along with the recent release of the “Watch the Throne” LeBron 9 and rumors of the upcoming LeBron 4 “Fruity Pebbles,” another throwback is on the way, the LeBron 9 “LeBronold Palmer.”
The Nike LeBron 9 “LeBronold Palmer” PE was first worn by LeBron James in the summer of 2012 during his run with the Miami Heat. Its design was inspired by LeBron’s love for the beverage made from half iced tea, half lemonade named after golf icon Arnold Palmer. It features a tropical vacation theme, with palm tree-like graphics covering the lime green upper and orange sock liner. On the 2022 release, the shoe comes with graphic insoles depicting a glass of the beverage on a sandy beach.
