Nike Dunk Low “Waffle” Now Available

Original Story (11/17/23): Nike is keeping the breakfast food-inspired Dunks coming. Following the “Montreal Bagel” Dunk Low earlier this year and the soon-to-be-released “Bacon” colorway, we now have a look at another upcoming Dunk Low, this one inspired by waffles.

Similar concept to an SB Dunk High from 2016, the Nike Dunk Low “Waffle” features a fuzzy wheat-colored suede upper with a waffled texture on the quarter panels. This is paired with tan leather overlays and a white tumbled leather Swoosh. The design of this Dunk Low may be an IYKYK nod to Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, who in 1971 used his wife’s waffle iron to form the first rubber soles for Nike’s running shoes. The inclusion of the address of Nike’s Beaverton HQ on the insoles, One Bowerman Dr, supports this theory.

Check out official images of the Nike Dunk Low “Waffle” below. Expect these to drop in the coming weeks on Nike.com and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for release updates.
