Nike is revisiting the savory “Bacon” colorway from 2004’s Dave Quality Meat x Air Max 90, placing it on the fan-favorite Dunk Low silhouette.
This “Bacon” colorway pulls at the nostalgia of sneakerheads who remember the DQM AM90 hyperstrike release, so much so that the shoe was re-released in 2021 for Air Max Day. Dave Ortiz’s design is now the source of inspiration for an upcoming women’s Dunk Low. Sail leather uppers are paired with bright red suede overlays, while the swoosh and tongue come in a pink hue similar to a pig’s skin. The design of the square brown tongue tag is almost identical to that of the DQM Air Max 90, with additional brown hits found on the suede heel panel and outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low “Bacon” is expected to release this holiday season on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab a look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
