Original Story (03/31/22): Along with the “Chlorophyll” colorway, Nike is also bringing back the OG “Dark Royal” colorway of the Air Trainer 1.
The Air Trainer 1 “Dark Royal” originally released in 1988 and has not been brought back since. Similar versions have released in 1994 and 2002, though they featured black on the Swoosh and strap instead of the OG navy. Like the 2022 “Chlorophyll” release, these are designed to be as true to the OG as possible, down to the “Air Trainer” branding on the tongue instead of “Air Trainer 1.”
