Original Story (04/11/25): Following releases of the “Neon” and “Reverse Neon,” the 30th anniversary celebration of the Air Max 95 continues with the return of the “Bright Mandarin” colorway.
Originally released in 2011, the Air Max 95 “Bright Mandarin” borrows the gradient grey design of the classic “Neon” colorway—albeit in slightly different tones—and swaps the neon yellow accents for an equally eye-catching orange hue. The 2025 “Bright Mandarin” Air Max 95 mirrors the original 2011 release, though this time it’s equipped with OG “big bubble” tooling, designed to more closely resemble the shape of the original AM95s from 1995-2003.
Early looks at the shoe have been shared by select fashion industry insiders, including Circulate founder Corey Populus and renowned stylist Veneda Carter. These will be more widely available than both the “Neon” and “Reverse Neon” colorways, which are rumored to have been limited to 10,000 pairs and 1,500 pairs, respectively.
Air Max 95s in this grey/orange color blocking have been a staple throughout the shoe’s history. A similar “Safety Orange” colorway made its debut in 1997, followed by a “Team Orange” edition in 2009, and a “Total Orange” iteration in 2018.
