Nike Air Max 95 “Reverse Neon” Pays Homage to Sergio Lozano’s 1994 Sketch

In celebration of the Air Max 95’s 30th anniversary, Nike presents a limited edition “Reverse Neon” colorway of the silhouette as a tribute to shoe’s designer, Sergio Lozano.

This “Reverse Neon” colorway is inspired by one of Lozano’s original concept sketches of the Air Max 95, conceived in 1994 ahead of the shoe’s debut. Its defining feature is the reversed gradient, flipping the colors of the iconic “Neon” colorway that first released in 1995. On this pair, the grey side panels transition from light to dark—rather than dark to light—as you move up towards the laces. The usual smooth synthetic suede has also been replaced with a hairy suede for added texture.

The “Reverse Neon” Air Max 95 is offered in the newly introduced OG build, which features bigger Air bubbles on the midsole to more closely resemble original pairs from 1995. Nike also used the Air Max 95 OG shape for the return of the original “Neon” colorway that launched earlier this month.

The Nike Air Max 95 OG “Reverse Neon” is super limited. They shock dropped this morning via the MoMA Design Store and sold instantly, though a wider release take place on April 10th via an NYC-exclusive SNKRS pass. The localized launch pays tribute to how the Air Max 95 was early adopted by New York City’s graffiti community. Check out the pair below.
