Fresh off of giving the boss Andrew Reynolds his first NB shoe, New Balance Numeric now introduces the first signature shoe for British pro skater Tom Knox, the Numeric 600.
The design of the NM600 is based on an early ’90s indoor court shoe from the New Balance archive, the i600, which was then modified with modern technology for skateboarding. It comes equipped with FantomFit reinforcement in the toe area for durability. shape retention, and a secure fit, while underfoot is a full-length FuelCell midsole for propulsion and high rebound. Additional features include a molded Ortholite insole for comfort and a durable NDurance rubber outsole that provides just the right amount of flexibility and grip. The shoe makes its debut in two colorways: white with green and black with white.
“From a young age, I always played football. So when I started learning how to skate, I naturally wore my indoor and astro turf boots. I always loved the way that they felt, so that was an influence on how we approached the 600,” says Tom Knox. “As a kid you dream of being sponsored, and eventually getting a board. Getting a pro shoe never comes to mind because it has to be the right place, right time, and with the right people. I feel very blessed to be with a brand that has supported me when others didn’t.
