BAPE and German-born luxury brand MCM are reuniting to release a special Lunar New Year capsule to ring in 2024.
Following their initial team-up in 2019, the duo usher in the Year of the Dragon with a collection that combines MCM’s rich heritage of artisanship with BAPE’s ura-Harajuku streetwear aesthetic. First up is BAPE’s classic Shark Hoodie, offered in MCM’s Black and Cognac Visetos and embellished with a Year of the Dragon APE HEAD logo on the left chest. The hoodie is accompanied by a selection of leather goods featuring MCM’s most celebrated silhouettes: the Backpack, the Belt Bag, the Crossbody, the Boston, the Weekender, the North/South Tote and the Handheld Pouch. These pieces also come in Black and Cognac Visetos with BAPE’s renowned camo pattern overlaid in gold on some of the paneling.
The MCM x BAPE Lunar New Year collection drops January 5th via the MCM website, BAPE.com, and in-store at select MCM flagships and BAPE STORE locations. Check out the lookbook and product range below.
