PLEASURES, the LA-based streetwear label known for their punk and grunge take on contemporary fashion, has reunited with PUMA to release a chunky version of the classic Suede. This collaboration closes out the Suede’s 75th anniversary celebration that took place throughout 2023.
Reminiscent of the chunky skate shoes of the Y2K era, the PLEASURES x PUMA Suede XL features a bulkier upper than the OG Suede. The all-black suede construction is combined with ivory hits on the PUMA Formstrip overlay, padded sockliner, and revamped sole unit. A fatter tongue and premium woven fat laces adds to the throwback aesthetic. Meanwhile, branding is kept minimal, with the PLEASURES name appearing only on the tongue tag and insoles. These come equipped with black laces and are packaged with an extra set of white laces.
The PLEASURES x PUMA Suede XL officially launches on Thursday, January 4th at 10am PT on the Pleasures website. A wider release will follow on January 6th at select retailers such as Feature and Nice Kicks (dropped early). Check them out below.
