In 2019, Ewing Athletics teamed up with sneaker designer/customizer Mache to create a Ewing 33 HI inspired by Ace Ventura: Pet Detective starring Jim Carrey in honor of the cult classic film’s 25th anniversary. The collaboration was a big hit for Ewing, so much so that the brand has restocked the shoe several times over the years. Now in 2024, the two are reuniting on a sequel in honor of the 30th anniversary.
This time around, the model of choice is the Rogue, fitting as the Rogue is also celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024. The Rogue comes in a Miami Dolphins-inspired color scheme, with floral Hawaiian print covering the base, teal leather as overlays, and orange accents throughout. Mache added his signature to the forefoot straps, while Ace Ventura: Pet Detective branding appears on the tongues. As an added bonus, the shoes come packaged in a matching box.
