Leaders has been a staple in Chicago’s sneaker and streetwear scene for over two decades. With dozens of footwear collaborations already under their belt, the Windy City boutique is now adding another one to the list. Teaming up for the first time with Stephen Curry and Under Armour’s Curry Brand, Leaders offers a two-piece collection featuring the Curry Flow Cozy and the Curry 2 Low FloTro.
Kicking things off with the Curry Flow Crazy, its colorway is inspired by “the story of the young baller who’s found a tough time getting on the court for the season.” The black IntelliKnit upper represent the nights spent at the park and in the gym, staying up late to put in extra work to get better for the next season. The iridescent overlay on the toe box is a reflection of the possibility the kid sees inside, while the UA Flow pods underfoot glow in the dark to represent a bright future.
Meanwhile, the Leaders x Curry 2 Low FloTro comes in a colorway that pays homage to Summertime Chi and the city’s love for Italian Ice. There’s nothing like hitting up the Mario’s stand on Taylor on a summer day to cool down after a hooping session. Uppers are dressed in a blue-to-pink gradient, while the midsole comes in white to represent the styrofoam cups that the frozen treat is typically served in. Both pairs feature the LDRS 1354 logo on the tongues, the shop’s winged L logo on the heels, and cursive Leaders branding on the insoles.
