Whether you like it or not, it’s YEEZY SZN once again. Vultures, the debut album from ¥$ (Ye x Ty Dolla $ign), is set to release any day now. On the fashion side, YEEZY shook things up this past Wednesday when it named controversial designer Gosha Rubchinskiy as its new Head of Design. This is followed by the release of the YZY POD, YEEZY’s first product since parting ways with adidas in 2022.
Described by YEEZY as “the foldable future of footwear,” the YZY POD is a black, sock-like shoe with a knit upper that reaches about halfway up to the knee. Underfoot is a black rubber outsole with ridges for traction. The minimalist design allows for the YZY POD to be folded up and stored easily when not in use. These come in three sizes: 1 (<US 7), 2 (US 7 – US 9.5), and 3 (US 10+).
If you’ve seen any recent pics of Kanye, he probably has YZY PODS on his feet, as he’s been weartesting the design throughout 2023.
The YZY POD is joined by a collection of Vultures merch which includes a long-sleeve tee, tank top, pants, and shorts, each adorned with the Vultures crest logo and available in black or in white. Sizing may be an issue here, as clothes are also available in 1, 2, or 3, (S, M, L?) though no size chart has been provided.
