Original Story (04/30/24): It’s been over five years since Nigel Sylvester’s last Jordan shoe release, and anticipation for his next project is at an all-time high. Exclusive F&F projects like the “Bike Air” Air Ships have only added to this excitement. The wait is almost over, as we now have a first look at an upcoming 2024 Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan release.
In a clip shared by jeweler Greg Yuna, the BMX star provides a detailed look at a new version of the Air Jordan 4 called the Air Jordan 4 RM (Remix). Keeping the tooling of the OG Jordan 4 intact, this RM version features drastic changes to the upper. For one, it’s now a low-top instead of a mid. Also, the TPU wings and multi-channel lace locks are gone, swapped out for a one-piece TPU cage that wraps around the heel.
Nigel Sylvester’s collab on the model comes in a Pro Green colorway and features special “Bike Air” branding on the heels and tongues. Nubuck is used for the majority of the construction, though there is also ripstop elements applied to the tongue and heel.
A few weeks back, Nigel was spotted in a different colorway of the Jordan 4 Remix in a black and grey color scheme similar to the “Fear” Air Jordan 4. This colorway appears to be an upcoming GR (non-collab) iteration.
The “Pro Green” Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Remix is expected to drop this July on SNKRS and at select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
Update (06/18/24): Nigel Sylvester has provided additional details about his AJ4 RM collab. The colorway is called “Fence Green” and is inspired by his grandma’s driveway, where he first fell in love with bike riding at the age of 4.
The shade of green used on the fence that lines Nigel’s grandma’s driveway is used for the upper, while the bottom of the box features an exact replica of the driveway’s concrete surface. Also, the tissue paper features a photo of a young Nigel on his tricycle.

Update (07/10/24): Nigel Sylvester shares the official commercial for his Air Jordan 4 RM collab. Nigel’s grandma is played by JoMarie Payton, the actress best known for her role as Harriette Winslow in ‘Family Matters.’
