If you follow Imran Potato on Instagram, you may have seen some of the bizarre stuff he’s been posting lately. Some posts make it look like he’s been hacked by some guy from India. These bootleg A$AP Rocky x Burger King x Air Jordan 13s make an appearance on the grid next to the Rat Mules, one of the the New Jersey-based designer’s creations that went viral in late 2023.
Scrolling through the surreal fever dream that is Imran Potato’s IG feed, you will also find teasers for his next project with Vans, an MTE version of the Vans Knu Skool. This is a follow-up to the bootleg king’s first Vans project in 2022, which served as the Knu Skool’s reintroduction into the market before the flood of GR colorways that came in 2023.
Our favorite teaser for the Imran Potato x Vans Knu Skool MTE comes from a parkour enthusiast known as Sage Shadowblade. In a reel, Sage is seen rocking the Imran Knu Skools as he leaps over the wall of a parking complex, unfortunately hurting his ankle in the process. We applaud Sage for his efforts and never giving up!

After months of ridiculous teasers, OTW by Vans has now officially announced the release of its collaboration with Imran Potato. The revamped Knu Skool is weatherized with MTE (Made for The Elements) features, including an overstuffed tongue, watertight suede uppers, and lugged outsole treads.
The shoe is launching in navy/white and black/gum colorways, with custom co-branding found on the tongue tags and heels. There is also co-branding on the Ultracush insoles, which also feature a printed graphic of a cartoon foot. Co-branding is also found on the box, which features a design inspired by composition notebooks.
The Imran Potato x Vans Knu Skool MTE-1 LX drops April 3rd on the OTW by Vans website (9am PT) and at select retailers. There will also be an early launch on April 2nd at 8pm ET on Imran Potato’s website. The black colorway will be available exclusively on Imran Potato’s website.
