Can you believe the first Harry Potter movie was released 22 years ago today? Time flies faster than Harry on his broom during a Quidditch match. The eight blockbuster Harry Potter films based on the original stories by J.K. Rowling have left an undeniably lasting mark on pop culture, all starting with The Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001.
Reebok and Warner Bros. are now celebrating the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with a collection of footwear and apparel inspired by Harry’s journey over his seven years at Hogwarts. The offering includes four footwear styles for adults, each available in unisex sizing, plus several footwear styles for kids, as well as a range of collegiate-inspired unisex and female apparel.
Breaking down the footwear, the story starts with the Club C 85, the ultimate introduction to Hogwarts. Each pair comes with interchangeable laces and embroidered patches featuring crests and symbols from all four Hogwarts houses. A special message can be found inside the tongue: “There’s no Hogwarts without you, Hagrid.” RIP Robbie Coltrane.
Next up is the Classic Leather Hexalite “Patronus,” inspired by the magical spell that channels the caster’s positive emotions into a powerful protection. Its upper features a gradient fade inspired by the silvery blue vapor that develops when casting a Patronus, and the tongue tags feature graphics of deer, the corporeal form of the Patronus Charm synonymous with the Potter family. Glow-in-the-dark and reflective details to ensure the wearer is guided by the light even in the darkest surroundings, while hidden inside the tongue is Lupin’s quote: “Not just any memory, a very happy memory, a very powerful memory.”
“He Who Must Not Be Named” takes over the Instapump Fury 95. Its upper pays homage to Lord Voldemort’s devoted Death Eaters with a black suede material and prominent Dark Mark, while also incorporating snake and scale details resembling Nagini and the Slytherin house. Silver accents represent the unicorn blood that Voldemort used to sustain his life.
Rounding out the adult footwear is the Classic Leather “Deathly Hallows.” Enveloped in The Dark Arts, this sneaker is filled with hidden details that were only discovered through the search for the Deathly Hallows’ magical objects. This includes an Invisibility Cloak textile on the inside of the tongue, a metal lace lock reminiscent of the Resurrection Stone, and wood grain lace tips that represent the Elder Wand.
The kids footwear — available in toddler, preschool, and grade school sizes — includes four colorways of the Classic Leather, one for each of the Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. There is also a kids Club C that features a collegiate look and is covered in patches and graphics inspired by the four Hogwarts houses and other notable symbols from the franchise. Meanwhile, highlights from the apparel offerings include crewnecks, shorts, and a bomber jacket.
