Shanghai-based skate shop Fly Streetwear is reconnecting with Nike SB for a new project on the Dunk Low.
Fans of Nike SB in the ’00s may remember the “Milk Crate” Blazers that dropped in 2007, inspired by Fly owner Jeff Han’s personal backstory of abandoning a job at a milk factory to pursue a career in the skate industry.
We’re not exactly sure what the backstory of their new Dunk Low is just yet, but from first look photos we see that it features a grey suede upper, blue suede overlays, an off-white leather toe box and tongue, and hairy green suede on the heel panels. Some of the more intriguing design details are the woven Swooshes, with the lateral Swoosh featuring a feathered design and a metallic clip near the rear. There is also an embroidered graphic on the lateral heel of some sort of feathered tassel. This feathered ornament also appears on the insoles, hanging off of the Chinese characters that read “弗莱爱” (“Fly Love”). Additional features include rope laces with kiwi green lace tips and mismatching branded tongue tags.
Grab a first look at the Fly Streetwear x Nike SB Dunk Low below. Expect these to drop in early 2023 on SNKRS and at local skate shops.
