Come Tees Is Back with New Converse Collab

Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Come Tees, created by artist Sonya Sombreuil, is back with another collection with Converse. A follow-up to their “Realms and Realities” collection from earlier this year, the collaboration brings us to a new dimension with its unique galaxy designs inspired the astral realm. Sombreuil takes two of Converse’s classic silhouettes, the One Star and the Chuck 70, and creates a celestial dimension.

The Chuck 70 “Star Path” comes in a bright orange colorway and is detailed with a star patent leather applique and metal dome studs; the artist says she took inspiration from her teenage years and images of India’s pedicab interiors found in Nick Sethi’s book Khichdi (Kitchari). The sneaker also has the word “star” handwritten on the left, and the outsole shows an illustration of a celestial symbol. The Come Tees One Star comes in a smokey black suede colorway as the star emblem is colored orange and covered with metal studs on the sides. Sombreuil adds an orange star graphic on the heel and includes another celestial illustration on the bottom of the shoe. Both pairs come in a cosmic-inspired shoe box with a graphic composite of flames, starbursts, burning stars, and black hole suns.

The collection also includes a second season of Come Tees x Converse Shapes unisex apparel, which offers a variety of clothing items that includes a t-shirt, overalls, fleece crewneck, and sweatpants. Sombreuil uses a mixture of vibrant colors, adding a cosmic airbrush print and vivid graphics to the design.

The Converse x Come Tees Fall 2022 collection is available now via the Come Tees website and will be released globally on October 20th on the Converse website and at select retailers.
