Concepts x Reebok Question Mid Pays Homage to ’96 Draft Class

0

Fresh off of its “Question the Answers” collaboration with Vans Vault, Boston-based sneaker boutique Concepts is now gearing up to launch its collaboration with Reebok on the Question Mid.

This iteration of Allen Iverson’s signature basketball shoe pays homage to the 1996 NBA Draft class, one of the most legendary draft classes of all time. The number one pick of this class was none other than Allen Iverson, though it also included the likes of Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, and Stephon Marbury. This theme also ties to Concepts’ rookie year, as the first Concepts store opened its doors in 1996.

The multi-colored design of the Question Mid “Draft Class” is inspired by the top picks of this draft and their respective NBA team colors. Purple and yellow leather hits, for example, are a nod to Kobe Bryant and the Lakers, while the green hits nod to Ray Allen and the Milwaukee Bucks. Concepts branding appears on the back of the heels and on the bottom of the clear outsoles, while “‘9” and “6” appears on the heels of the outsoles. These come in special packaging and with two extra lace options.

The Concepts x Reebok Question Mid “Draft Class” launches on Friday, October 21st on the Concepts website. A wider release will take place on Saturday, October 22nd on Reebok.com and at select retailers.
