Rising Brooklyn-based streetwear brand Brigade has launched the lookbook for its upcoming Spring ’24 collection.
Founded in 2014, Brigade has evolved over its decade-long history, moving past the “streetwear startup” stage that most brands start out at (basic graphic tees and hoodies) and into more technical advanced garments. The Zion Jacket is a prime example of this, featuring waxed cotton construction for durability and water resistance. The waxed cotton, in this case derived from beeswax, is also more environmentally friendly than the plastics that are usually used for wading jackets.
“Our focus this season was transforming staple garments into showstoppers,” says Brigade. “This collection encapsulates reimagined classic silhouettes, like the Zion Jacket and Split Knee Cargo Pants, turning them into highly detailed and technically skilled garments.”
One of the showstoppers in this collection is the Moto Knit Jacket, which flips the classic leather motorcycle jacket into a knitted masterpiece, with three different knit types used in its construction. The Split Knee Cargo Pants offer an extra baggy look and are constructed from mid-weight ripstop cotton. Founder and designer Aaron Maldonado also pays homage to his Dominican and Puerto Rican roots with the knit sweaters adorned with each country’s flags on the chest.
Brigade’s Spring 2024 collection drops Friday, April 5th at 12pm ET on the Brigade website. The collection will also be available at Brigade’s seven retail partners: Aigo (Boston), Bend (Tokyo), BOONTHESHOP (Seoul), Concepts (NYC), Extra Butter (NYC), Goldeneye (Des Moines) and Shoe Gallery (Miami).
