Original Story (01/17/24): Tokyo-based fashion label AURALEE has revealed its next collaboration from its ongoing partnership with New Balance, this time featuring the MADE in USA 990v4 silhouette.
Founded by Japanese designer Ryota Iwai in 2015, AURALEE is known for its relaxed simplicity, sophisticated minimalism, and soft color palettes. This latest New Balance collab embodies all those traits. Debuted at Paris Fashion Week during the label’s Autumn/Winter 2024 runway show, the AURALEE x New Balance 990v4 comes in two colorways. One is offered in traditional grey with baby blue accents on the toe, tongue, and midsole, while the other is dressed in pastel blue hues across the entire upper.
This collaboration on the 990v4 marks AURALEE’s ninth footwear collab with New Balance, following up their Warped Runner project from SS24. If you’ve been keeping up with AURALEE’s NB collabs, these soft blue hues should be familiar, as one of the XC-72s from FW22 feature similar colors.
Check out both colorways of the AURALEE x New Balance 990v4 below. These are slated to drop in December via AURALEE, the New Balance website, and select retailers. As always, stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
