Original Story (01/24/22): Tokyo-based label AURALEE has revealed its next collaboration with New Balance during its Fall/Winter 2022 presentation. After taking on the 2002R for Spring/Summer 2022, this upcoming season features the XC-72 silhouette.
This AURALEE XC-72 comes in three tonal colorways that match the palette of AURALEE’s FW22 apparel. This includes a chocolate brown pair with black soles, a creamy yellow colorway, and another in cobalt blue. This collaboration marks designer Ryota Iwai’s sixth time collaborating with New Balance.
Look for the AURALEE x New Balance XC-72 to launch this upcoming fall/winter season on the AURALEE website and at select retailers. Check out the full FW22 presentation and close-up shots of the three colorways below.

Update (10/06/22): The AURALEE x New Balance XC-72 launches on Thursday, October 13th in the blue and dark brown colorways. These will be available in Japan and at select global retailers such as SSENSE and END.
