While this year has already seen a round of announcements involving a continuation of Nike and Playstation’s long-standing team up, it looks like both brands’ rivals — adidas and Xbox — are set to collaborate on a range of sneakers starting later this year.
In leaked documents, images and renderings show our first glimpse at an Xbox-infused, all-new adidas silhouette called the Forum Tech BOOST. The new model is likely going to release in general colorways as well, but early prototypes suggest that it retains much of the paneling and tooling that made adidas’ Forum 84 so popular this year in updated, synthetic form. The Xbox edition of the model seems to feature reflective detailing and a hallmark black and green color scheme, with the shoe’s BOOST midsole encased in a translucent outsole.
After the Xbox edition of the new model launches in June, the duo are planning to release two pairs of the adidas Forum Mid in October and another Forum Tech in November, with further Xbox x adidas models coming next year.
