British designer Martine Rose brings something sweet this fall with a new collection in collaboration with Tommy Jeans.
Martine Rose is back with a new collaboration after releasing her twist on the Nike Shox R4. The London-based designer and her eponymous label decided to taps into ’90s Americana, paying homage to Tommy Hilfiger’s classic prep school aesthetic. The brands introduce a heartfelt campaign, shot in the suburbs of Miami by Buck Ellison, that redefines traditional ’90s Americana by featuring same-sex couples in classic domestic settings.
The capsule collection comprises 35 gender-inclusive garments as both brands infuse their clean-cut designs with hints of preppy style and streetwear. Denim pieces include jeans and chaps in indigo and off-white, as well as an indigo jean puffer jacket. A blue towel robe is paired with toweling slippers for cozy at-home vibes. Other styles prepare for the cold weather with a baby blue polar fleece and sweatpants designed with abstract lettering. On the other side of the spectrum, Martine Rose settles into summer with striped boxers and a Hawaiian-inspired shirt, scarf, and necktie. A varsity jacket rounds out the apparel, featuring khaki leather sleeves with a virgin wool and cashmere body. Accessories include baseball caps, totes, and sling bags.
“I have really enjoyed exploring the American subculture to create a campaign that not only celebrates, but also highlights marginalized communities,” says Martine Rose. “TOMMY HILFIGER has always been a brand that I have been inspired by, and that is why this collaboration has been such a natural and organic union.”
