Stüssy x Dries Van Noten Collection Lookbook

0

Original Story (11/09/22): Stüssy is releasing a new collaboration with acclaimed Belgian designer Dries Van Noten.

Van Noten’s claim to fame came in 1986 when he presented his first menswear collection as part of the Antwerp Six collective. The six designers, all graduates from from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, were known for their radical, rule-breaking approach to fashion, establishing Antwerp as a hub for fashion design for years to come.

Dries Van Noten brings his psychedelic prints and patterns to the collaboration, while Stüssy brings its signature laidback California approach to design. Together they offer a wide assortment of apparel, including everything from tie-dye tees to printed jeans to a rhinestone-covered smoking blazer and pant set. The long parka with the flower-filled bong is definitely a vibe.

The campaign imagery, shot by Tyrone Lebon, features Flea, founding member and bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Flea’s kooky personality shines in the photos and various teaser clips, similar to how Dries Van Noten’s distinct prints and pattern stand out on the clothing.

The Stüssy x Dries Van Noten collection drops Friday, November 18th at 10am PT on stussy.com, driesvannoten.com, both brands’ stores, and at Dover Street Market locations. Check out the campaign photos below.

Update (11/16/22): Following the campaign imagery starring Flea, Stüssy now shares the lookbook for its Dries Van Noten collab. Check out the photos below:
