The Flint Tropics are getting their own FILA collection. Warner Bros. Discovery has teamed up with FILA to release a new collection inspired by the 2008 cult-classic sports comedy film Semi-Pro starring Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, and André 3000.
The collection includes: mesh basketball shorts, a hoodie, a t-shirt, and two colorways of the Grant Hill 2 designed with the fictional ABA team’s orange and teal colors. The clothing is stamped with the Michigan team name as the t-shirt pays homage to Semi-Pro character Jackie Moon with the number 33 printed on the back. Moon shares the same jersey number as basketball legend Grant Hill, who rocks the collection in the new ad campaign.
The Grant Hill 2 sneakers, also known as the FILA 96, are introduced in both black and white colorways; the side of the sneakers features the Flint Tropics logo, and the midsole and outsole are covered in teal while a hint of orange covers the quarter. The heel strap also includes the Semi-Pro name on both sneakers. The Grant Hill 2 is packaged in custom shoe boxes with additional FILA and Semi-Pro co-branding.
The Semi-Pro x FILA collection will be available on the FILA website on Tuesday, October 25, while the Semi-Pro x Grant Hill 2 sneakers will also be available on the Champs Sports website and select Champs Sports locations. If you miss the drop in October, the shoes will also be available starting in November on the Foot Locker website and select Foot Locker locations. Check out the Semi-Pro x FILA collection below.
