Salehe Bembury is keeping busy, real busy. The footwear design extraordinaire continues to roll out new styles from his Pollex line with Crocs, while also recently signing with PUMA to design their next basketball shoe. We also can look forward to more Salehe Bembury x New Balance collabs dropping this year.
We are currently in the middle of the rollout for Bembury’s next New Balance shoe, a pale yellow 530 featuring the designer’s signature fingerprint motif on the side panels’ silver N logos. While in town for Copenhagen Fashion Week, Bembury held a pop-up in the Denmark capital and gave away 200 pairs of his yet-to-be-released shoe.
From photos of the event, we learned that the name for the shoe is “Prosperity Be The Prize.” This phrase was featured on the windows of the pop-up venue and is in line with the naming format of Bembury’s previous NB collabs (such as “Water Be The Guide” and “Heat Be Hot”). We also saw that the shoe box for these is covered in bamboo graphics.
If that wasn’t enough, Salehe has also teased another upcoming New Balance collab, a purple colorway of the 991v2. These are expected to release later this year.
