American footwear designer Salehe Bembury has been blessing fans with drop after drop, releasing collaborations in partnership with Crocs, New Balance, and soon, PUMA. On the New Balance side, Salehe is following up his 530 “Prosperity Be The Prize” with the “Growth Be The Tree” New Balance 1500.
Bembury, known for his love of hiking and nature, draws inspiration from the great outdoors for this colorway of the Made in UK silhouette. It comes dressed primarily in earthy, neutral tones, equipped with a grey mesh base, light brown suede overlays, a cream-colored midsole, and a brown ENCAP heel counter. There are also pops of color found throughout the design, including yellow branding hits on the tongues and heels, purple and orange accents on the midsole, and blue and green sections on the outsole.
Bembury and New Balance are aiming to make this sneaker release one to remember with a brand new marketing campaign featuring American actor and comedian Blake Anderson.

The 1500 is not Salehe’s only New Balance project on our radar. Last year, the designer was spotted wearing his own purple suede iteration of the 991v2, which has yet to release to the public.
