Acclaimed designer Salehe Bembury has reignited his partnership with New Balance to release two fiery colorways of the 1906R.
After months of teasers, Salehe Bembury has officially announced the release of his latest NB project, the 1906R “Heat Be Hot” pack, a follow-up to 2022’s “Sand Be The Time” 990v2. The announcement comes with a campaign video centered on a scientist conducting a volcano experiment, while wearing the blue and red “Magma” colorway of the 1906R along with full PPE. After the volcano erupts and gets lava foam all over the scientist’s shoes, it transforms into the second colorway, “Lava,” featuring an orange-to-yellow gradient across its mesh upper and metallic silver overlays.
