Following a couple teasers, Salehe Bembury officially unveils the 2002R “Water Be The Guide.”
This launch serves as a sequel to Bembury’s “Peace Be The Journey” New Balance 2002R and draws inspiration by his recent trip to Havasu Falls, Arizona. Shifting from desert to water, warm orange tones take a backseat to the cool teal blues pulled from the Havasu Creek, located in the Grand Canyon. Hairy suede, leather, and mesh come together on the upper, with shearling on the N logo for added detail.
For the campaign, actor Jesse Williams returns as model as he did for the first 2002R launch, with a cameo from Austin Mahone in the campaign video. Campaign images and video can be found below.
The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002R “Water Be The Guide” will launch via the New Balance website and select retailers on June 25th. Subscribe to Bembury’s Spunge mailing list for updates.
