Original Story (10/02/23): Now that the Kobe brand has officially relaunched, Nike Basketball is serving up fresh new Kobe sneakers for Holiday 2023. Joining the “Reverse Grinch” Kobe 6 this season is a “Black Mamba” iteration of the Kobe 4 Protro.
An obvious homage to Kobe Bryant’s nickname and alter ego, the “Black Mamba” Kobe 4 comes in a triple black colorway with Kobe’s signature in gold on the lateral heel counter. While most of the upper is constructed from smooth nubuck, faux snakeskin accents have been added to the toe, ankle collar, and Swoosh logo.
