LA-based streetwear brand Market has teamed up with Reebok for their first-ever collaboration, a footwear collection inspired by Reebok’s beloved Vector Tracksuit.
The collection features the Club C 85 Pump and the Classic Leather Pump, remixes of two classic silhouettes equipped with Reebok’s iconic internal inflation mechanism that was first introduced in 1989. Each come available in two colorways and feature ribbed nylon uppers inspired by the ribbing on Reebok’s Vector Track Tops. Pronounced stitching details throughout the uppers makes it look like the track top was ripped apart and applied directly to the shoe. The Club C 85 Pump also replaces the usual laces with a zipper closure to further connect the shoes to the tracksuit.
“In creating this collection, we wanted to approach this from a unique design perspective and give people something they haven’t seen before,” says Mike Cherman, founder and creative director of Market. “I have been reimagining Reeboks since I was a child, and even used to cut out the flag from Reebok shoe boxes and put it on my walls. To have the chance to connect with Reebok to bring an official collaboration together is one of my childhood dreams.”
The Reebok x Market collection launches December 19th on the Market website, followed by a global release via Reebok.com on January 5th. Check out all four pairs below.
