Tinker Hatfield introduced the Nike Air Safari back in 1987 alongside the debut of the Air Max 1. Over the past 35 years, the exotic print on the Air Safari would be used across various fan-favorite Nike releases, including silhouettes such as the Foamposite, Air Presto, and SB Dunk Low. Nike is now revisiting this iconic print for an upcoming Sportswear Dunk release.
The upcoming “Safari” Dunk Low features a hemp mesh upper paired with a black leather swoosh. The overlays sport the safari print and come in various colors, including brown on the rear panels, yellow on the toe caps, and green on the eyestays. A touch of khaki suede is used for the heel caps. Finishing the look is a brown speckled sole with recycled Nike Grind incorporated into the construction.
