Original Story (03/25/22): The Air Max 97 turns 25 this year. To celebrate, Nike will be bringing back OG 1997 colorways of the model, including the iconic “Silver Bullet.”
A couple other OG colorways will be making its return, the “Royal” (aka “Atlantic Blue”) and “Black Volt” (aka “Japan) though these two have been combined on one release. This upcoming Air Max 97 mostly resembles the “Royal” colorway, though it features a black mudguard pulled from the “Black Volt” pair. The rest of the upper consists of silver mesh paired with royal blue nubuck. Neon yellow-green accents are found on the Swooshes on the tongue tags and side panels, branding on the heel pull tabs, and on the full-length Air Max bubbles.
