Clogs are all the rage in the current footwear landscape, as more and more consumers are looking for alternatives to the traditional sneaker. TOMBOGO, the brainchild of LA-based experimental designer Tommy Bogo, is launching its own clog-like model in collaboration with Saucony called The Butterfly.
The Butterfly offers more versatility then standard clogs as it features a 3-in-1 two-piece design, with boths part able to be worn on their own. An inner sock-like bootie can be worn with or without the outer shell, while the outer shell is also wearable on its own. The shoe comes in a custom box with holographic see-through lid. It seems as though great minds think alike, as Jordan Brand has a similar design called the System.23, though the Butterfly was unveiled first, making its debut at TOMBOGO’s FW22 NYFW presentation back in February.
The TOMBOGO x Saucony Butterfly launch is slated for August 19th on TOMBOGO.com, with raffle opening on August 16th. A global release will follow on Saucony.com and select retailers on September 2nd. Check out the pics below.
