Nike Air Kukini Returns In “Leopard” Colorway

0

Nike is bringing the Air Kukini back from the Alpha Project archives. Last year, Stussy and Nike dropped a hybrid version of the Kukini, combining the upper with a Spiridon sole unit. In 2022, the silhouette returns in its true OG form.

The Air Kukini released in 2000 as part of a performance-driven subdivision in the footwear department named Nike Alpha Project. Recognized by the five small dots under the classic swoosh, the Alpha Project team is responsible for bringing some of the most iconic models to date like the Air Zoom Citizen runner, the Zoom GP basketball shoe, and the Nike Air Presto.

Along with a “Topography” colorway, Nike is gearing up to release  a new “Leopard” iteration of the Air Kukini. This release features a leopard print upper layered under a  transparent web-like cage. Other design features include claw mark graphics on the insoles, the Alpha Project five dots on the lateral heel, and a mini orange Swoosh embroidered on the tongue.

The Nike Air Kukini “Leopard” is expected to drop in the coming months on Nike.com and at select retailers. Check out official images below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for release updates.
