Nike AF1 High “Emotionally Unavailable”

0

Aren’t we all a little emotionally unavailable in 2019? Nike’s banking on that sentiment with a new Air Force 1 collaboration with the uber popular brand that drops today via the SNKRS app. Emotionally Unavailable (EU) was founded in 2013 by CLOT head Edison Chen and designer KB Lee of Undefeated. The duo draws inspiration from young love and its chaotic nature with graphics and color schemes that lean into the theme of love. EU refreshingly doesn’t claim to be ‘high fashion’ or ‘street wear’, instead they want the brand to be known simply as ‘contemporary fashion.’ There’s undoubtedly contemporary elements at play, but we love how the brand uses old school styles too. In the past EU has worked with other heavyweights like Dover Street Market, so this Nike collaboration is a natural progression for the brand.

The Nike x EU partnership has birthed a beautiful pair of AF1s dressed in a red canvas upper with a contrasting pink carpet Swoosh and white accents. The real dope feature of the Nike x EU AF1 is the removable zippered lace cover – you could throw that bad boy on and rock no laces if you wanted to. Check out some detailed images below and let us know if you copped this morning. Retail is $160, peace!
