Following the release of its collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto earlier this month, veteran Japanese streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD reconnects with Vans to drop two colorways of the Sk8-Mid 83 DX.
The Sk8-Mid silhouette has its roots in the ’80s, when skaters would cut off their ankle pads off of their Sk8-His and rock them as mids. Shinsuke Takizawa and company offer the shoe in Natural and Black monotone colorways, each featuring premium suede uppers with leather sockliners. Additional features include debossed NEIGHBORHOOD branding on the toe box and heels, co-branding on the insoles and tongue tags, and the NEIGHBORHOOD tagline “Craft With Pride Tokyo Est. 1994” on the midsoles.
The NEIGHBORHOOD x Vans Sk8-Mid 83 DX drops on Saturday, December 23rd via NEIGHBORHOOD and select retailers. Check out both colorways below.
