After teaming up on the Premier Road Modern Mid last year, Reebok and Seoul-based brand KANGHYUK are back with another new avante-garde footwear collab, this time pulling inspiration from Reebok’s ’90s running archive.
The two present the DMX Run 6 Modern, an update to Reebok’s premier Run DMX 6 running shoe that first released in 1998. Releasing as part of Reebok’s new premium LTD (Learn. Test. Design.) line, the KANGHYUK DMX Run 6 Modern boasts dynamic linework across the reworked panels. While the design of the upper has been heavily tweaked, the tooling has remained fairly similar to the OG DMX 6 Run. The classic DMX system remain intact, comprised of a pod on the forefoot and four pods on the heels, which are all interconnected to allow air to flow back and forth when you step on them. The shoe comes in two colorways, “Star White” and “Black Onyx,” each with details in KANGHYUK’s signature red.
