Kanghyuk & Reebok Reunite For Premier Road Modern Mid Collab

KANGHYUK, the Korean fashion label founded by Royal College of Arts graduates Kanghyuk Choi and Sanglok Shon, is known for its repurposing of airbags from wrecked cars to create apparel and accessories. The concept awarded the brand a nomination for the LVMH Prize in 2019.

For KANGHYUK’s latest release with Reebok, the South Korean brand expands on their Premier Road Modern collab from 2020 with two new mid-cut iterations. Now offered in black and light blue, the tonal color schemes intensify the details from the intricate layering of the paneling. The experimental use of materials and sculpted design gives the signature Reebok Vector logo a subtle and clean look. These mid-cut versions also feature various padded details on the ankle collar, EVA midsoles, and KANGHYUK branding on the heel.

KANGHYUK first introduced its Reebok Premier Road Modern Mid in 2021 when it launched a red and white “Car Part” colorway via pre-order. This coincided with the reveal of the brand’s “HYOSUNG 01” collection, which featured apparel made from the waste materials of Hyosung, South Korea’s largest industrial conglomerate. This red/white colorway was recently shipped to those who pre-ordered.

The KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern Mid “Black” is set to launch on June 23rd via Dover Street Market, with a wider release set for June 25th on Reebok.com and the KANGHYUK webstore. The blue colorway is set to release on July 1st on Reebok.com, the KANGHYUK website, and select retailers. Check out both colorways below.
