The Nu Retro Air Jordan 1 is making its return this year in celebration of the silhouette’s 20th anniversary. As we await news of the return of the OG black/red “Chicago” colorway, we now have a reveal of a special edition colorway made for Jordan Brand athlete Jayson Tatum.
The Jayson Tatum Nu Retro 1 pays homage to the NBA superstar’s upbringing in University City (aka U-City), Missouri, a suburb just outside the city of St. Louis. The low-top model comes in a red, white, and tan color scheme with “U.City” embroidered on the lateral toe. A star graphic also appears on each heel with the number 98, nodding to the Tatum’s birth year.
