Earlier this year, Jaden Smith rocked the Coachella stage with his sister WILLOW while sporting a never-before-seen New Balance sneaker. It turns out that this is the latest signature model from the 25-year-old actor and musical artist.
Introducing the MSFTSrep 0.01, the first shoe to launch in collaboration with Jaden’s brand MSFTSrep and the third NB sneaker design in Jaden’s catalog. After dropping a handful of colorways of his first signature, the Vision Racer, as well as his own take on the 574, Jaden and the NB design team come together on a court-inspired, low-top silhouette. The shoe is constructed from white synthetic leather with a mesh tongue and is adorned with the NB logo on the lateral and the MSFTSrep logo on the medial. Underfoot is a segmented midsole, expanding on the design language introduced on the Vision Racer.
“I was excited to collaborate with New Balance again on a sneaker inspired by classic New Balance court silhouettes for a new generation, creating something completely different from previous collaborations, all while maintaining my signature style and craftsmanship New Balance is known for,” says Jaden Smith. “The vision behind the campaign is to lift up all the misfits and outcasts on the planet currently, not just a specific subgenre of castaways, but from all different cultures and ‘walks’ of life from all over the globe.”
