Original Story (06/14/22): After officially announcing their partnership last month, we now have a reveal of the first sneaker by Jacquemus x Nike. The two present a reworked version of the Nike Air Humara in two colorways.
Simon Porte Jacquemus gives the classic 1997 trail running sneaker a luxe overhaul, getting rid of much of its technical paneling on the upper and opting for smooth leather and minimal suede overlays. A tiny metallic Swoosh with gold finish appears on the bare side panels, while Jacquemus branding is debossed onto the leather tongue and heel. Pulling inspiration from the vintage ACG Pocketknife, the Jacquemus Humara features an eyelet strap that wraps around the heel. The midsole and rugged outsole of the OG Humara is kept intact. The Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara will be dropping in two colorways, a cream/beige and a brown.
The Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara will be releasing as part of a 15-piece Jacquemus x Nike collection on June 28th on the Jacquemus website. A wider release via Nike and select retailers will take place later this summer. Check out both colorways below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
Update (06/28/22): Following today’s launch, Nike announces a global release for the Jacquemus x Nike collection, including both colorways of the Humara. Catch the drop on SNKRS and at select retailers on September 10th. Check out the campaign imagery starring Jorja Smith below.
