In 2021, NIGO collaborated with Blue Bottle Coffee to celebrate the opening of the first Blue Bottle cafe in the Shibuya neighborhood of his hometown, Tokyo. The acclaimed Japanese streetwear icon and HUMAN MADE founder was tasked with designing the uniforms for the baristas, as well as creating a co-branded merch capsule and even his own coffee blends. HUMAN MADE and Blue Bottle have now relaunched their collaboration, giving fans of NIGO and Blue Bottle another chance at copping their limited-release capsule.
Featuring a minimalistic aesthetic that both brands are known for, the HUMAN MADE x Blue Bottle collection consists of a long sleeve t-shirt, hoodie, crewneck fleece, hat, and key chain. These are similar designs as the ones released in 2021 for the Shibuya cafe opening, though note that the “Shibuya” branding has been removed for this global relaunch. Accompanying the wearables is the re-release of the two coffee blends co-created with NIGO in 2021: the “Past Blend” and “Future Blend” blend. These are made available as a two-piece bundle.
